For The Ones
Who Mean It.
The philosophy behind the experience of an Italy elopement designer.
Most couples think they’re simply looking for an Italy elopement designer.
What they’re really looking for is someone who understands what this day is about.
Someone who can help them slow down, be present, and create memories that feel as meaningful as the photographs themselves.

About Roberta
I don’t photograph elopements.
I design them.
As an Italy elopement designer, photography is only one part of the experience.
Before a single image is made, there are choices.
Where you’ll go.
How you’ll spend your time.
What you’ll remember years from now.
In other words, my role isn’t simply to document your day.
It’s to help create the conditions for meaningful moments to happen naturally.
Because the most beautiful photographs are often the result of a beautiful experience.
The starting point
WHAT MATTERS
MOST?
Most couples start by asking where.
I prefer to start with why.
Because once we understand what matters most,
everything else becomes easier:
- the place,
- a slower pace,
- your experience,
- and the photographs.
The question this Italy elopement designer asks
every couple
Indeed, over the years I noticed a pattern. The couples who seemed most present — most themselves, most actually there — were almost always the ones who had chosen deliberately. Who had decided what they actually wanted, instead of following a template.
Notably, the couples who come to me have already let go of the idea that a day needs to be impressive to be meaningful. As a result, they’re not settling for less. Instead, they’re choosing differently.
Instead, a day built around meaning, not appearances. Around the two of them — and the people who actually matter. In fact, that kind of clarity is rare. So when I find it, I protect it.
The question I ask every couple, without exception, is the same:
What do you actually want from this day?
The answer shapes everything.
Planning a larger celebration? I work on those too — separately, through Roberta Perrone Studio.
What I believe
What I Believe As An Italy Elopement Designer
That’s why I create slow, intentional experiences designed around people rather than expectations.
Around connection rather than perfection.
Around presence rather than performance.
What I actually do
Before the day,
I create space for what matters.
On the day,
I protect it.
01
Light & Time
I advise on the best time of day for your location and season — when the light is soft, when the city is quiet, when the tourists haven’t arrived yet. Timing changes everything.
02
Travel Advisor
Props, florals, what to wear, what to bring — I suggest the details that photograph beautifully and feel meaningful. Not a mood board. Specific advice, for your day.
03
Vendor Curation
Every vendor I recommend has been chosen for you specifically — florists, celebrants, hair and makeup artists. Not recycled from the last couple. Each one selected with intention, for your aesthetic.

The Photography — Italy Elopement Designer
On the day, I simply follow the flow. First, you get ready, then you have your ceremony, and finally you live the experience — meanwhile I capture it as it happens. No posing, no staging. Just what’s real.
Why I do this
Why I Work As An Italy Elopement Designer
Art
I grew up surrounded by art, architecture and visual culture. In truth, long before photography became my profession, it had already shaped the way I see beauty, composition and emotion.
Psychology
I’m fascinated by why people feel what they feel. Moreover, today I’m also studying psychology, which therefore constantly influences the way I approach human connection and storytelling.
Italy
Italy isn’t just where I live and work as an Italy elopement designer. It’s a place I’ve spent my entire life exploring. Its landscapes, history, food and culture are woven into every experience I create.
Storytelling
Above all, photography is ultimately about stories. Not perfect images. Nor trends. Stories that still matter years later.

The place
Why An Italy Elopement Designer Chooses Italy
Italy isn’t just beautiful. It’s layered.
Art. History. Food. Landscape. Culture. Stories. Meaning.
Each destination feels different. Every region has its own rhythm, with its own light and its own personality.
That’s why I believe Italy isn’t simply a backdrop. It’s part of the experience itself.
Ultimately, whether it’s a villa in Tuscany, sunrise in Rome, a mountain lake in the Dolomites or a quiet village in Umbria, the place becomes part of the story.
When I’m not working
“My eye doesn’t switch off when I put the camera down. It never has.”
In addition, there’s a restlessness in me that has nothing to do with impatience. Every winter I disappear — alone, somewhere unfamiliar, with more film than plans.
Likewise, I move through new places the same way I move through an elopement: alert, unhurried, looking for what can’t be staged.
I also shoot on film. Because intention changes what you see — and slowing down is the only way to find what’s worth keeping.
